I had the exact same surgery as Reigns about two years ago. Not. Fun. At. All.

In context, I am 6'4" and weigh about 260. I had to have my 4 year old daughter get the milk jug out of the fridge for me that first week. It was awful being so helpless.

Reigns will think he is doing better in that first few months and almost 100%, then can easily get hurt. That is what happened to me. I hope he is very careful and doesn't come back for close to a year (for his own health's sake), if he can hold off that long. It's a rough surgery.
