Default News on Why WWE Hasn't Had All of Their Content Removed from YouTube

It was believed back when the WWE Network launched that WWE would be pulling all of their content from YouTube. That has not been the case and the content is being left on YouTube for a reason.

WWE Vice President of Digital & Print Rob Bernstein told the Digital Sports Fan Engagement Conference earlier this year that the company will not go after blocking YouTube videos of content they own because they believe it's better to leave the videos there and get fans hooked on the product.

WWE believes that long term, it's more beneficial and fans who get exposed to the product that way will spend more money. There are some videos WWE will go after, particularly if it's something they don't want up.

I think releasing YouTube videos is a good idea because WWE only shows the last minutes of matches rather than the entire match. This makes WWE fans want to buy the Network and fully watch matches.

Not to mention the extra revenue from ads on youtube
