Shahid's vested interest
After the release of Kaminey where he was all muscles, Shahid Kapoor doesn’t want to look less than perfect in his forthcoming films. Is this why he refused to listen to director Parmeet Sethi and choreographer Ahmed Khan on the sets of Yash Raj Films’ Badmaash Company?
After all the infamous starry tantrums, for instance his reluctance to give retakes, as reported earlier by Mumbai Mirror, Shahid once again gave the film unit a difficult time yesterday. This was while shooting at MT Studios for the film’s title song, which required the actor to wear a white vest in a pub.
What’s worse is that Shahid knew beforehand that he would be asked to wear a white vest for the song. However, on reaching the sets Shahid simply refused to wear a white ganji and the reason he gave was that he had been giving his daily workout a miss to look convincing for his role as a depressed man in his father Pankaj Kapur’s directorial debut, Mausam.
Interestingly, Shahid refused to budge even when he was told that producer Aditya Chopra had especially instructed the film unit to make him wear the white vest in the title song.
Parmeet Sethi had no choice but to arrange for a half-sleeve white tee and only then did Shahid start shooting yesterday. Was it a case of his quest for perfection or was Shahid just being difficult?
