It's the 'Role' that matters for Mohit Mallik..
[DOWN]Mohit Mallik is back to fiction after a span of more than six months, and will be seen as a parallel lead in Sony's Godh Bharaai, produced by Sphere Origin. The show launches on March 8th, Monday to Thursday, at the 7.30 PM slot.
As we all know, Mohit Mallik gathered quite a lot of fan following, playing the lead in Star One's Pari Hoon Main; he was also liked as Bharat in Zee TV's Banoo Main Teri Dulhann. He was supposed to take up the role of the main lead in Sony's presently running show Jeet Jayenge Hum, but could not do so for certain reasons. Mohit was also seen in Nach Baliye 4 along with girl friend Aditi Shirwaiker.
We simply wondered why Mohit accepted to play the parallel lead in Godh Bharaai, when he could have opted to play the main lead in a show, and questioned him about the same. To this Mohit told Telly Buzz, "See, for me it is the role I play that matters more than whether I play the lead or not. In today's television scenario, even the male leads have very less to do, as almost all shows focus on the woman. Above all, I do not want to stand in one corner of the frame, doing nothing. I would rather prefer a challenging role that will enhance my acting capability even further".
Talking about his role in Godh Bharaai, Mohit tells us, "I have never played such a character before. In both Pari Hoon Main and Dulhann, I played characters that were very much similar to me in real life. I am an introvert by nature, and even my roles in both these shows were on similar lines. The key to my role in Godh Bharaai is that I play a complete extrovert. Frankly speaking, I am working very hard to get into the skin of this character".
Mohit Mallik plays the role of Bharat who is very open yet emotional, a typical bindaas kind of a character. "My story track has a lighter side to it, and is more on the younger side. I have never played a carefree kind of guy, and am ready for the challenge. Bharat has a sweet romance going with his girl friend (played by new comer Neha Kaul). I have a very unique kind of relationship with my mother and treat her as my closest friend. Then I have Shivam (Shakti Anand) who is my thickest friend. I consider Shivam and his wife Aastha (Pallavi Subhash) as an ideal couple, and respect them a lot. As the story progresses, Bharat has a huge role to play in the show".
So all said and done, Mohit Mallik is looking forward to his role in the show, and stresses on the fact that his fans will see him in a very different kind of role, and requests them to shower their love on him as before!! [/DOWN]
