Andy Murray has withdrawn from Britainís Davis Cup tie against Lithuania in March. The World number four will discuss about his participation for every match with the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA).

Murray in a website statement said, ďWe have talented young players who need Davis Cup experience to help with their career development.Ē

ďIím happy to step aside for this match and will take decisions on future ties with the LTA. Itís important we get back up the groups in the Davis Cup over the next few years.Ē

Murray hinted after Britainís relegation to Group II of Europe/Africa Zone Group II in September following defeat by Poland that it might be time to give other players a chance. Players like Jamie Baker and Dan Evans must be given opportunity to play for their country.

The 22-year-old Murray said, ďMy focus in 2010 is on performing well in the Masters events and improving my record in the grand slams. Iím always available for my country and am happy to help whenever needed.Ē
