    Default PTF Intends To Seek Compensation From ITF

    The Pakistan Tennis Federation intends to seek compensation from the ITF for shifting Davis Cup tie. The rubber against Hong Kong was moved due to security concerns. The tie was due to be held next March in Lahore but the ITF has shifted the matches to Hong Kong.

    PTF President Dilawar Abbas after their meeting of the Asian Tennis Federation, said the ATF also supported Pakistan's move to seek compensation.This was the third time Pakistan has lost hosting rights of a Davis Cup tie due to security reasons.Pakistan’s Davis Cup tie against Oman was reallocated to Muscat and the ties against Phillipines were moved to Manila.

    Abbas said,"We have suffered an estimated loss of USD 50,000 due to the shifting of the Davis Cup matches and we intend to seek compensation from the ITF.”
