    Default Rupee ends weak by seven paise at 46.75 against dollar

    The Rupee today depreciated by seven paise to settle at 46.75 against the dollar in line with other Asian currencies, which fell against the greenback, traders at the interbank foreign exchange (forex) said here.



    The Indian unit resumed low at 46.77 a dollar and later fluctuated in narrow rrange between 46.70 and 46.78 in intra day trade.

    Dollar was at a two-month high against the yen, in keeping with firm tone it has developed recently on shifting sentiment about the outlook for the US rates.

    Meanwhile, six month forward dollar premium was recorded firm at 3.10/12 per cent (3.07/09) and one year annualised dollar premium also ended higher at 2.92/94 per cent (2.90/92).

    The Indian unit, quoted against global currencies like Euro ended at 67.05/07 (67.28/30) per unit, Pound Sterling closed at 74.20/22 (74.50/52) per unit and Yen touched at 50.68/70 (50.80/82) per 100 units, dealers added.
