Anurag Kashyap feels no censor restriction for indian movies
Renowned Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap strongly feels that there should be no film censorship at all. He says that unlike the western world, it’s not easy to make films criticising the real life politicians or to even use the term ’sex’ in Bollywood Movies.
In an interview, the director says “There shouldn’t be any censorship on making a film. We are still very conservative about the term sex.” Anurag Kashyap, who is well known for experimental films like Dev.D quoted these lines at the 11th Mumbai Film Festival (MFF).
“I am trying to push my boundaries so that everything in the film looks real.”
Anurag Kashyap, has always tried his best to frame real life incidents in our society through his Bollywood movies like Black Friday and Gulaal, and wonders about making a Bollywood movie like Gabriel Range’s Death of A President.
“Death of A President is a hollywood movie which features President George Bush who is still alive, but we can’t even think of having a scene in our Indian Films where four people are chatting over tea and cursing our indian politicians” says Anurag Kashyap.
The 37-year-old director believes that recession has helped bollywood industry by cutting down its miscellaneous expenses which sometimes amount to something more than even the actual cost of a film.
Don't forget to say thnx
