    Presented by Samira Habitats, hosted by siblings Mana Shetty, Rahul Kadri and Isha Mehra as a tribute to their mother the late Mrs Vipula Kadri, Araaish, in aid of the 'Save the Children India Foundation was held on 22nd September 2009 at Blue Sea, Worli.

    Says Mana Shetty, " What we really want to say is a heartfelt thank you to all connected to Araaish the participants, Samira Habitats and most of all to the amazing women who came and shopped. We think it's a great philanthropic gesture on the part of Samira Habitats to come forward to support Araaish. Its an emotional journey for us to work towards what our mother founded. The funds have gone a long way to secure our children's future."

    Some of the celebrities who attended Araaish hosted by Mana Shetty, Rahul Kadri and Isha Mehra co hosted by Sameer Nerurkar and Alan Sippy of Samira Habitats were Jaya Bachchan, Kajol, Twinkle Khanna, Tania Deol, Suniel Shetty, Neerja Birla, Sameera Reddy, Sonali Bendre, Kirron Kher, Jackie Shroff, Rhea Pillai, Anjali Tendulkar, Indu Shahani, Seema Khan, Neelam Kothari, Deanne Pandey, Laila Motwane , Hasina Jethmalani, Nawaz Singhania, Nitasha Nanda, Shalini Shahani, Rukshana Eisa, Rima Jain, Laila Lamba, Samantha Nayyar, Devieka Bhojwani, Sheetal Mafatlal, Vidya Malavde etc. Big sellers were Surily Goel, Priya Ahlawadi of The Oak Tree, Malini Agarwalla for Malaga, Queenie Dhody For Jewels By Queenie, Mana & Isha. Most of the guests shopped heavily at the Save the Children India stall for gifts .

    The event was organized by Sharmilla Khanna. Wine food and music flowed in complete harmony all day towards the cause of Save The Children India.

    Some of the fashion industrys big names stepped up this time as well to support Araaish. Among them were Tarun Tahiliani ( who has created a special line for Araish ), Surily Goel, Malini Agarwalla for Malaga, Queenie Dhody For Jewels By Queenie, Renu Chainani For Eastern Treasure, Nandita Mahtani For Ananya, Oak Tree, Stoffa, Vikram Phadnis, , Shades, Saijjal Goenka, Sangeeta Khanna, Curio Cottage, Nitika Malhotra, Kavya Creations, Melange, Neha Agarwal, Seema And Jamila, Mana And Isha, Leena Thackersay, Renu Zaveri all of whom attended etc. Save the Children India will also put up a stall with decorative products such as gift bags, batuas, festive stationery, wine bottle holders made by the adolescent girls.

    Avid shoppers also included Akansha Aggarwal, Bhagyashree, Sangita Kathiwada, Madhoo Shah, Bejal Meswani,Pallavi Jaikishan,Shaheen Abbas, ,Prerna Goel,Malini Agarwalla, Sabina Singh, Raelle Padamsee, Shaan Khanna, Poonam Dhillon, Aditi Govatrikar, Kiran Juneja, Nandini Sen, Payal Khilachand etc

    Says Sameer Nerurkar, Managing Director Samira Habitats "We are pleased to support the cause of Save The Children India, as it is close to our heart and also Mana & Suniel are like family to us. The funds collected by Araaish help educate, support and empower the most vulnerable children providing them with education and life skills to sustain themselves.

    It is the wonderful ladies who attend Araaish and shop here who play a major factor in contributing towards the success of Araaish. This is the sixth season of Araaish in Mumbai and the exhibition has seen an unprecedented footfall of women each season.
