Asha Bhonsle celebrates birthday at L'il Champs !!!
Living legend Asha Bhosle, lovingly known as Asha tai to the entire nation celebrated her 76th birthday on the sets of Saregamapa L'il Champs with great pomp and show.
The legend who is basking in the glory of two recent awards that has been felicitated to her was unperturbed by all the fame and adulation. ' maine toh kabhi kisiko nahi bataya maine kitne gaane gaaya… pata nahi inko kahan se pata chal jaata hai..' said the remarkable lady who's voice refuses to show any signs of ageing. She was recently awarded for having scored the maximum number of records in the world.
Asha ji is not new to Saregamapa. She has judged the show in the earlier seasons, but this is the first time that she was judging kids. It was a big moment for mentor Abhijeet da as well. Asha ji holds him in great regard and thinks that he is a singer whose voice is closest to Kishore da's. Abhijeet Bhattacharya's happiness knew no bounds by this comment! He went up to the stage and sang, ' zara sa jhoom loon main…' from the movie DDLJ which he had sung with Asha ji decades back.
L'il Afsha was super excited. She refused to listen to anyone until she was allowed to sing for Asha Ji. She along with Asha Ji sang ' chura liya hai tumne jo dil ko' . Little did Afsha realize that she was singing with the biggest living legend of the century.
The biggest moment was for Shreyasi and Hemant who got standing ovation from Asha tai for their soulful renditions. Hemant Brijwasi's performance on ' dil lena khel hai dildaar ka' had Asha ji in tears. ' Aapne toh Pancham se bhi achha gaya hai…'
It was a blast at the cake cutting ceremony. . Along with Asha ji, his grandson Chintu (from the Band of Boys) was also a part of the celebration. Chintu and Asha ji both sang songs from their new album. It's rare to see such loving grandma – grandson jodi crooning on the same platform.
Swarit Shukla who is being called ' Swarit Chopra' these days after having tied the knot with Priyanka Chopra in the last episode, seemed a l'il lost and that was evident in his performance as well. Guess the kiddo is still reeling in PC's charm!
6 year old Afsha Musani, the L'il Anchor of Saregamapa L'il Champs fulfills her dad's dream
Afsha Musani , the 6 year old bak bak machine who was picked up from the auditions to anchor Lil champs fulfilled one of the most cherished dream of her father. She just gifted him a bike!
The channel was so impressed by the l'il one's dedication that they wanted to gift her something. When asked what would she like to have, she said , ' mujhe papa ke liye ek bike chahiye….'
The channel was too happy to oblige and at the same time touched by this sweet gesture of hers. The Saturday episode which was dedicated to parents of the little kiddos had almost everybody in tears. After everybody's dedication, suddenly the lights were put off! When the lights returned, there was a brand new Hero Honda Passion standing on the stage which Afsha gave out to her dad..
For the uninitiated, Afsha belongs to a very humble background. It's because of this wonder kid that this family is seeing little better days. It was a distant dream of her father to own a bike after he lost the earlier one in an accident. Little Afsha, all of 6 years knew her father's desire and decided to express her love for her parents by fulfilling her dad's desire.
