Hosting 10 Ka Dum seems to have instilled the once-reserved Salman Khan with a zest for connecting with people. At the promotional event of his forthcoming film Wanted, Khan took over the microphone and enthralled the guests with his wry sense of humour. Khan kicked off the event with his charming smile and asked Boney Kapoor (who has co-produced the film with Sahara One Motion Pictures) why in these times of recession did he scrap the romantic number Jalwa, which was picturised in Bangkok and reshot it in Greece? An amused Kapoor said that recession or no recession, he would always stick to his lavish style of film-making. This brought a proud smile to wife Sridevi, who was watching the proceedings intently. Kapoor couldn’t help revealing that when he showed Salman the Tamil version of the film, he said he would not do all the action scenes himself, as he was very scared! It’s another matter that the actor finally did all the action scenes himself without using a body double.

Salman, who is paired opposite Ayesha Takia- Azmi in this Prabhu Deva-directed venture, said that he gave Boney a tough time even when it came to romancing because he is very finicky about touching his heroines in the wrong places. Takia then smiled and said that he was one of the best co-stars, and she wouldn’t mind doing more films with him. The actress also clarified that she had not left films after marriage. Salman teased Prabhu Deva saying that he seriously thought that he had no bones in his body and was made of the most malleable rubber. Interestingly, Prabhu Deva, who has choreographed for 100 films, choreographed only one song in the film, leaving the rest to Rajiv Surti and Raju Sundaram. He wanted to concentrate on direction, he said. Salman asked him to show a few movements of his song, and to everyone’s amusement the actor played along and copied him in his quaint way.
