Falaq Naaz feels that 'daily soap leads' cannot do much without the support of character artists
The pretty and talented Falaq Naaz is proud to be playing the role of Jhanvi in Colors’ Sasural Simar Ka, a character who has seen quite a lot of growth in a small span of time.
Talking about the way in which her track in the Rashmi Sharma Productions show has progressed, Falaq says, “Jhanvi is just like me, she is a very emotional girl. I am glad that over time my character has shifted from grey to positive, as I can never be bad in real life. In other words, playing a sweet girl comes ly to me.”
Falaq, who has also done other shows such as Tere Mere Sapne, Gunahon Ka Devta and Dekha Ek Khwaab, further adds that her character has been very beautifully written by the creative team. “Jhanvi is someone who understands relationships; I don’t need to add anything from my side. I just play Jhanvi to the best of my ability.”
She goes on to add, “One major plus point of our show is that we focus on all characters of the family and not just the two leads. This could be one of the reasons why Sasural Simar Ka continues to rock. I personally feel that viewers prefer the interplay of all joint family members, and not just the husband and wife who cannot do much anyway on their own. Here I must again thank my creative team, for they have created such a superb screenplay which has allowed a lot of scope for my character to show her various shades. Many a times it has been observed that characters have potential, but sadly do not get exploited.”
In closing, Falaq says that in future, she would love to play the lead. Having said this, she is quite satisfied essaying character roles as well. “They also play a very important role in the overall narrative. As far as I am concerned what matters more than the billing is the graph of the character. Where would Simar (Dipika Samson) and Roli (Avika Gor) be without Jhanvi? Their story also revolves around me.”
Well said, Falaq!!!
