Telly star Pankit Thakker talks about his new show Kis Din Mera Viyah Howay Ga, anchoring a show and much more…

Talented actor Pankit Thakker who rose to fame with his role in the popular show Dil Mil Gaye on Star One as Dr. Atul and with his various roles in many television shows is now going to be seen on-screen in the show Kis Din Mera Viyah Howay Ga on Big Magic.

When asked Pankit about the new show Kis Din Mera Viyah Howay Ga, he says, "I am very excited about my new show. The content of the show is very different and I am playing 3 different characters in the show which are Daku Vikrant, Bablu and a girl Babli."

There has been a trend recently where male actors are getting into the garb of a woman like in Mrs. Pammi Pyarelal or in Comedy Nights with Kapil. While it looks hilarious on-screen, we asked Pankit if the same trend has been followed in this show and Pankit says, "Yes, there is a trend but this show is about 3 different characters who take the story forward and its hilarious. The story line is very different and unique which is the USP of our show."

Pankit was absent from TV industry from quite some time now so when we asked the reason about the same, he told us, "I had got many offers but I didn't want to do something which would give me money but not help me grow as an actor. I wanted a role which would excite me and increase my profile in the industry. It needs a bit of patience to wait for the correct opportunity and I am happy with the decisions I have made."

He further adds, "I have got two offers for anchoring but nothing is finalized on it yet but I am really looking forward to take up the opportunity once I get a bit settled with my current show."

We wish Pankit all the best for his show and may he keep entertaining the audience!
