Mohit Dagga to play a cop for the first time in Life OK's Savdhan India
Actor Mohit Dagga finds inspiration from Ajay Devgn’s character in the movie Gangajal for his role of a Dabangg cop in one of the upcoming episodic stories for Life OK’s Savdhan India. This particular story will be produced by Baba Arts.
Talking about it, Mohit tells us, “It is a very interesting character wherein I play a notorious cop who is known for his illegal activities. The guy, Inspector Sinha has in fact kidnapped a girl and has sold her at a brothel for money. The story based out in Sarangpur is the fight of the kidnapped girl’s younger sister to get justice.”
Elaborating on his character, Mohit says, “He is a typical UP cop wherein I had to get the lingo and dialect right for my hard-hitting dialogues. It was nice to don the role of a cop, as this is the first time I played one. Actually, I took quite a lot of inspiration from the movie Gangajal and remembered the dialogues of Ajay Devgn all the while when I was shooting for this episode. Also, I grew my own long moustache for the role too (smiles).”
Mohit was recently seen in an episodic of Sony TV’s Crime Patrol. This story of Savdhan India featuring Mohit will air on 26 May 2013.
