An emotional evening
At a screening held for the cast and family members of the cast of Mohandas, the event took an emotional turn when parents of the actors in the
film couldn’t hold back their tears.
The movie reminded them of the struggles their kids have to go through to find a place for themselves in the world. The movie that has been directed by Mazhar Kamran, has Nakul Vaid, Sharbani Mukherji and Sonali Kulkarni in the lead. “I have tried to portray the story of young people who come from a simple background. I expect people to find their story somewhere in Mohandas. But I never imagined that the parents of my actors would also be so touched by the film,” Mazhar says. Sonali’s and Sharbani’s mothers were in tears, and so was Nakul’s family. Speaking about this emotional reaction, Mazhar adds, “Cinema and tears seem to go together. I don’t know why we cry in theatres. The magic of cinema keeps surprising us and does not let us become jaded.” Mohandas, made under the banner of Vertika films, is Mazhar’s directorial debut.
