Manoj Tyagi to direct a Bengali bilingual supernatural thriller Sakshat
Two times National Award winning writer director Manoj Tyagi is all set to direct a Bengali bilingual supernatural thriller film Sakshat.
The film that has also been written by Manoj will be his second directorial venture after the critically acclaimed film Mumbai Salsa.
In confirmation, Manoj avers, “This is my first attempt at a bilingual and I have always been intrigued by topics of supernatural and horror.” The film is to be produced by Raj Behl of Shri Balaji Mudra Films TV & Video.
Manoj, who had won the National Film Award for Best Screenplay twice, once for Page 3 in 2005 and Apaharan in 2006, has written many award winning films like Satta, Page 3, Corporate, Jail and Heroine.
Incidentally, he has also written the story of Sudhir Mishra’s Inkaar that is releasing today.
Speaking over the phone on Inkaar, Manoj said that he was inspired to write the story of the film after a conversation with a friend of his who works as a Human Resource head in a corporate firm. The friend of his was tackling a sleazy sexual harassment case at that time. This helped Manoj make a strong foundation for a story.
