Irrfan is fine, resumes shooting
The so-called injury that Irrfan Khan suffered on location in Delhi on Tuesday was a case of making a mountain out of a molehill.
The actor is fine and back shooting. In Tigmanshu Dhulia's Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster Returns, Irrfan Khan needs to be shown playing a game of polo. The sequence was put off for the last, since Irffan needed to learn the sport from scratch.
The sequence is being shot in Delhi since Tuesday. It has the method actor more nervous than anything he has done so far, including the rigorous self-discipline that went in to playing the steeple-chase runner in Tigmanshu Dhulia's Paan Singh Tomar.
Says a source close to Irrfan, "He has never been more anxious. Irrfan has never played polo. He needs to look like a professional polo player on screen. And he didn't have that much time to take up the sport seriously."
Irrfan was sent to the Mahalaxmi Race Course in Mumbai to try to catch the game's nuances by practising with professional players. There were plans to get Randeep Hooda, a professional polo players who played a pivotal part in Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster, to teach Irrfan a few moves.
We hear neither of the two actors could co-ordinate their dates. Irrfan is a the moment one helluva nervous actor. Says Tigmanshu Dhulia, "Irrfan will be fine. He picks up fast. Besides he's halfway a polo player already. He is an expert horse rider. The rest will just follow."
Meanwhile the actor sms-ed to say that he's fine and is back to shooting.
