✿ Leave your brains at home ✿Kambakkht Ishq was the big budget no-brainer film of the year. Its crass jokes and scat humour didn’t make us laugh one bit and it seems like similar films are only following suit. StarBoxOffice cautions the audience to leave their brains at home when they set out to watch these humbug films lurking around in multiplexes.
Dil Bole Hadippa
Rani Mukherjee is pinning her hopes on this film, touted as her comeback; Dil Bole Hadippa is a love triangle between the characters played by her, Shahid Kapoor, and Sherlyn Chopra. Yes you heard it right, item girl Sherlyn Chopra is making her big screen debut and giving her company is rival Rakhi Sawant.
Mukherji's character masquerades as a male cricketer who makes it to the men's cricket team to prove that she can play the game as well as any man can. So Rani is a man fighting with Sherlyn Chopra for the love of toyboy Shahid Kapoor, while Rakhi gyrates for the front benchers. Has the torture ended? No its only about to begin on September 18th.
Do Knot Disturb
Its time for the big daddy of slapstick comedy, David Dhawan will teach his protégé Sabbir Khan (read director of Kambakkht Ishq) a thing or two. Starring Govinda, Ritesh Deshmukh, Sushmita Sen, Lara Dutta, Sohail Khan, the list of actors in DND is pretty much endless.
Releasing on October 2nd, it’s bound to be like any other Dhawan film. Do Knot Disturb won’t have much to offer than mindless and asinine humour, and with too many cooks spoiling the broth, the last thing you want is a sour taste in your mouth and a big hole in your pocket! Refrain.
All the Best
Starring Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgan, Fardeen Khan and Bipasha Basu, the so called laugh riot is being directed by Golmaal director Rohit Shetty. And we all know that Golmaal was literally devoid of a script and Golmaal Returns was devoid of any sense.
Other than Sanjay and Fardeen strumming the guitar, there’s no news about the story of the film or whether or not it has one. The shooting of the film is still on in Goa with its release date being scheduled by Oct 16th, all we can wish the crew is All the very best indeed. Especially when you need it the most.
And you thought he was gone for good, the expressionless Himesh will now be seen in Pooja Bhatt’s Kajraare. The film is said to inspired by her own yesteryear film called Sadak which released in 1991, Himesh plays a lawyer in this film, the lawyer falls in love with a prostitute and it is the story of how they find true love.
Pooja helped Himesh get off the sadak after the disaster that was Karzz and we hope he doesn’t turn the tables on her on Oct 16th. Look on the bright side, the rickshawallahs have a reason to celebrate now.
De Dana Dan
It’s being directed by Priyadarshan, should we say more. Can’t help it, it stars Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar and even if that got nothing new about it, it also stars Sunil Shetty, Sameera Reddy (who) and Paresh Rawal. It brings back the team of Akki, Anna and Paresh after the debacle of Hera Pheri 2.
The story goes as such, Akshay and Sunil, are in search of big money to prove a point to their girlfriends, Katrina and Sameera and the film follows their humorous escapades. We can’t help but laugh… at their sorry fate on Nov 27th that is.
