Arjun Bijlani, well- known for his roles as Aalekh in SAB TV's Left Right Left and as Mayank Sharma in Star One's Miley Jab Hum Tum seems to be a mama’s boy for he is following his mother’s wishes who wants her son to shine on the big screen.

Accordingly, Arjun, who is currently working in a Punjabi comedy film Full Fukre, is now in talks to star in a couple of Hindi films as well. “One is with a reputed production house while the second set up is new,” he divulges.

Refusing to give further details, Arjun says, “It is always better to keep mum, for things may change at the very last minute. Apart from hard work, a lot of luck also counts here,” he adds.

So what is the kind of preparation he has made for shifting to Hindi films? “Well, I am working a lot on my fitness, which I feel is very important. The big difference between both the mediums is that in films you don’t get a second chance while on TV, even if one gets a bad episode, it is fine for in the second episode, he can make up.”

Coming to his ongoing Punjabi film, Arjun details, “There were several reasons for saying yes to it. Firstly, I loved the language and the people of Punjab, who are warm and friendly. Secondly, the maker is a close friend of mine and last but the not the least, these days Punjabi films have a huge international market that I want to tap. Every actor wants to have a huge fan base worldwide and I am no different.”

For the moment, Arjun is focusing his energies only on the big screen, “I believe, now is the right time to enter Bollywood.” He also rejects the notion that out of sight is out of mind regarding work on TV. “Gone are the days when TV actors would not get work in films; the only thing is that one has to be confident of himself. Even Ayushman Khurana took the chance and gave TV a break for doing Vicky Donor. I too am not totally rejecting the small screen space as well. If something really interesting comes along, I might take it up. But, finally, the dates will have to match my film dates,” Arjun adds.

    All the best…Arjun!!!
