Over the years, filmmakers have experimented with the black and white format on the big screen to bring in a change in viewing experience.

The latest is that in Bejoy Nambiar’s upcoming yet untitled film, the director has recreated the black and white era in certain parts of the storyline that is a gangster film. The film has among others Neil Nitin Mukesh.

Bejoy’s latest film is the story of three individuals by the same name across different time zones. The director has given a different colour palette to every story. The black and white palette is exclusively for Neil’s portions in the film.

The black and white portions, interestingly, are a tribute to the gangster films of the ’40s and ’50s.

This particular sequence was shot in Belfast, in Northern Ireland.
