Karishma Tanna says enacting a fairy is a dream come true
Karishma Tanna, who will be seen as the elegant fairy Rani Devi in Optimystix’s Baal Veer on SAB TV, returns to television after a hiatus. Here is Karishma talking about her comeback vehicle which is a fantasy show about a young super hero who rescues people on the earth.
Karishma Tanna tells us,” I took up this role because this is not a usual one; the character and the costume is of a princess. I play a fairy who is good and helps people. I am very glad that something of this sort has come up. It is a very nice role and there are many moods and variations to the character. Frankly speaking, I wanted to come back with a bang and this show Baal Veer is truly the reason why I am back.”
“The little kid is damn cute and I am very sure that this fairyland concept will connect with the viewers of every age group. The little kids will love it to the core and so will the parents. I feel it is a dream role for all of us in the show because as kids we always used to listen to stories of fairy land and enacting one of those is certainly a dream come true.”
The project also has Shama Sikander playing one of the major characters. So is there any sense of insecurity or competition of sorts? “No…Shama (Sikander) is a dear friend and there is no competition as such between us. We know that every role in the show has been well defined,” she ends.
Here’s wishing that the magic wand creates a rage amongst the viewers.
