Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starring Ek Tha Tiger hit the box office. The romantic action thriller film has broken all the previous records of opening day collection. It has set a new record with its highest-ever opening day collection of Rs 32 crores. Until the release of this film, this record was belonged to Hrithik Roshan's Agneepath which is now the second place on the basis of opening day collection record.
Salman Khan is flying high after the success of Ek Tha Tiger. The success of this film has brought Salman Khan at the center of attention. It was his fourth blockbuster film in a row which has earned more than Rs 100 crore. Other three blockbuster movies are Dabangg ( Rs 147 crore), Bodyguard (Rs148 crore) and Ready (Rs 122 crore).
However, Ek Tha Tiger has crossed Salman’s previous records. This movie has earned Rs 210 crores in 12 days and it is supposed to earn more money in coming days. Probably no other films in Bollywood has earned Rs 200 crore.
According to various reports, fans come to know that Salman’s box office earning has encouraged Tips producer Ramesh Taurani to offer him a gigantic salary of Rs 100 crores for a film, but Mr Taurani has denied it. He says, “Salman is already signed with me and this is not the right figure. He will be doing a film in 2013 with us and details are being worked out.”
Ek Tha Tiger has been directed Kabir Khan and produced by Yash Raj Films. The story is written by Aditya Chopra and the film’s screenplay has been jointly written by Kabir Khan and Neelesh Misra, well-known journalist-turned-lyricist-writer.
It is Salman’s first Yash Raj film and Katrina’s second. The story of Ek Tha Tiger is about a Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) officer, played by Salman.
