This Eid, TV celebs promote brotherhood and integrity
Who says Eid is celebrated by Muslims alone? We believe in celebrating each and every festival with love and brotherhood and believe in national integration.
God is one, his names are different. While some call him Allah, others call him Jesus. Let’s all join our hands together and pray for a better place to live in.
We got in touch with non-Muslim actors from the TV industry to learn their take on the festival and how they celebrate it.
Swapnil Joshi, who is currently seen in Golmaal Hai Bhai Sab Golmaal Hai on SAB TV said, “Well, I always go to Ali Asgar’s place to wish him and his family. I love everything that is cooked there, it’s God’s prasad and I love having each and every delicacy. Here, I would like to tell all my fans that be blessed and may Allah miyan fulfill all your wishes.”
Ragini Khanna, who is seen anchoring Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa on Colors averred, “I have many Muslim friends and always celebrate Eid with them. When I was doing Bhaskar Bharti on Sony Entertainment Television, we used to have a feast on the sets during Eid. Today also I am planning to go to Aamir Ali’s place. Furthermore, I love sheer kurma and sevaiyaan (vermicelli) a lot. I and my mother can cook these delicacies. I would like to wish all my Muslim fans a grand Eid Mubarak. May you earn loads of Eidis as well. A lot of hugs to all my Muslim fans.”
Shritama Mukherjee, who was seen in Dekha Ek Khwaab on Sony Entertainment Television, shared, “Well, I spend this day, as any usual day with my friends. I had been to Ajmer Dargah last week with my family. I wish Eid Mubarak to everyone.”
Karan Mehra, who is seen in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on Star Plus, stated “I will be going to my friend’s place but since I am a pure vegetarian, won’t eat non veg delicacies. On the whole, I love and enjoy this festival with my friends.”
Handsome lad Angad Hasija is a big time foodie. “Well, during my Bidaai days Sara Khan used to get sevaiyan, biryani and sheer kurma for all of us. I just wished her. Well, I will go to my friends place today. I wish all my fans a very happy Eid Mubarak.”
Pooja Sharma of Ruk Jaana Nahin fame said, “I love Eid a lot. Since I am not shooting today, I will be going to my friends place and bunging on sheer kurma and biryani.”
