WWE '13 to focus on Attitude Era, THQ reveals
WWE '13 will centre on the sports' Stone Cold Steve Austin-focused Attitude Era, THQ has announced, revealing the game for launch this autumn on PlayStation 3, Wii and Xbox 360.
The game's first trailer lists a 30th October date for WWE '13 in the US, and reveals the title's cover star to be current WWE champion CM Punk.
The game's single-player campaign, named WWE Universe 3.0, has been expanded into a career-style mode with dynamically changing alliances, rivalries and "unpredictable moments".
A new audio and presentation system, WWE Live, will improve the game's commentary, sound effects and crowd participation. WWE '13 will also feature the largest ever roster of fighters, including big names such as Steve Austin, Sheamus, Undertaker, Mankind, Chris Jericho, Big Show and Mark Henry.
"WWE '13 is certain to ignite our enthusiastic, worldwide fan base and encourage them to live a revolution that simply cannot be ignored," THQ's brand exec Sean Ratcliffe excitably revealed.
"WWE Live will bring the impassioned WWE live event experience into the living rooms of consumers, while critical core gameplay improvements and a serious dose of attitude will enable them to experience WWE action like never before."

WWE 13 aims to match real-life cameras
Trying to make any game realistic is not so easy, especially when it comes to finding the balance between something being like real life and also keeping the gameplay fluid. This has been seen when trying to improve referee decisions in FIFA 13 and not letting the game have too many wrong choices, although this time it seems WWE 13 is trying to get things realistic when it comes to camera work within the game.
WWE 13 aims to match real-life cameras and this has been shown in a few tweets by the games Creative Director, Cory Ledesma, and reactions to what is planned for WWE 13 has been mixed among gamers.
Ledesma explained that WWE 13 cameras will pause the action, and that the replays will not happen after a match only, so this means you can perform a replay mid-match and pause the action live. You’ll also find the replays are not slow motion, and are in full speed with different angles. Other improvements mentioned on Ledesma’s Twitter page include the ability to continue a match after breaking through barricades, which can be done on all types of barricades although there is no fighting in the crowd.
Some gamers that have followed wrestling for many years have lost confidence in THQ, and it’s their view that we’re “still waiting for that magic” to follow some of the previous classic wrestling games on older consoles. Do you agree with this line of thought, or are you extremely pumped for WWE 13 and feel it will be the best wrestling game to date?

THQ Want Improved Crowd Reactions For WWE 13
The THQ Twitter account has confirmed that improving the reactions of the crowd is high on the priority list for WWE 13.
The response from THQ was prompted after receiving a tweet from a WWE fan containing a video link to The Undertaker’s return during the 60 minute Ironman Match between Triple H and The Rock back in 2000.
It has been reported by many sources that Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler will be commentating in WWE ’13. Jim Ross apparently recorded some lines for the game both in February and in March earlier this year. Jerry Lawler has also already recorded some lines for the game as well.
No reports have said that Michael Cole is in WWE ’13, although it’s very likely he will be in the game since he’s the current voice of the WWE right now...

Mike Tyson to star in WWE '13
Pre-order WWE '13 and you'll get to play as the baddest man on the planet, Mike Tyson.
Iron Mike is a pre-order bonus at all retailers, publisher THQ has confirmed to Eurogamer.
Tyson made several appearances during the sports' Attitude Era, a time period highlighted in this year's game tie-in.
"The baddest man on the planet is back - and only in WWE '13," Tyson growled. "Fans everywhere can now relive what I experienced during the 'Attitude Era.'
WWE '13 News Regarding Steve Austin & Mike Tyson
THQ's Cory Ledesma has confirmed via his official Twitter page that two versions of WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin will be featured in the upcoming WWE '13 video game. Below is Ledesma's post: "We have both variations of Stone Cold Steve Austin in the game for those that keep asking. One knee brace version and two knee braces" -WWEGaming.com reports that legendary boxer Mike Tyson, who will be a pre-order bonus for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of WWE '13, will apparently be a part of the default roster on the Nintendo Wii version of the game. The website states that The Rock received the same treatment for the WWE '12 video game, where he was included as the pre-order bonus for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game, but included on the default roster of the Wii version.
