Fardeen Khan refuses to promote Life Partner
Fardeen Khan hasn’t gotten over the loss of his father, Feroz Khan, who passed away on April 27. Though the actor is back to work, he is definitely not in the frame of mind to promote his forthcoming film, Life Partner.
A source said, “Fardeen Khan is so grief-stricken after his father’s demise that he is finding it difficult to get back to normalcy. Recently, he refused to promote Life Partner, as it would require him to mingle with people, which he is not in a position to do. Though Fardeen is excited about the film, it’s hard for him to interact with the media and talk about the comedy.”
It may be recalled that Fardeen was inconsolable at the prayer meeting for his father and broke down frequently.
• Fardeen was very candid about not being in the right frame of mind to promote the film
“At a meeting with the filmmakers, Fardeen was very candid about not being in the right frame of mind to promote the film. Considering Fardeen’s condition, even the makers didn’t press the actor any further,” added the source.
Preeti Shahani, Head of Marketing and Distribution at Studio 18, co-producer of Life Partner said, “We are still in discussion with Fardeen about the promotion plans. We’re hoping to get things going by the end of this month.”
The film is co-produced by Abbas Mustan and directed by Rumi Jafry. It also stars Tusshar and Govinda.
Fardeen remained unavailable for comment.
