Default Del Rio's Future in WWE, Laurinaitis Update

The former Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and former General Manager of Raw and SmackDown Mr. John Laurinaitis is said to have very little power backstage in WWE anymore, as most of his job duties have been taken over by Paul Levesque (Triple H) and his new team. Laurinaitis is still in charge of handling the paychecks, but that's about it.

However, don't expect to see him get "Future Endeavored," as he is expected to return to television as a character some time in the future.

Alberto Del Rio has publicly stated over the past couple of years that he does not wish to have a very long career in WWE or pro wrestling in general. The feeling right now backstage in WWE is that Del Rio probably won't have a very long career and really isn't a long term investment such as Dolph Ziggler, Sheamus O'Shaunessy, Cody Rhodes, etc.

However, WWE management does view Del Rio as being their top Hispanic wrestler for the time being, as Rey Mysterio is always injured and has a rocky relationship with WWE officials, and Sin Cara's future has been in question pretty much from the start of his WWE career.
