Yash Chopra-Shah Rukh film does not have title yet
For those who felt it was time to sing along 'Yeh Kahaan Aa Gaye Hum' all over again, courtesy the rumour going around the line being the title of the Shah Rukh Khan's next, here is a twist in the tale. Even this has turned out to be a plain and simple rumour, just as was the case with London Ishq which was 'seemingly finalised' by the bigwigs involved.
"It is rather surprising that titles of all shapes and sizes, literally so, are being added to the speculations. First it was London Ishq and no one knows from where did the rumour originate. Then there was a brief lull before it was said that the toss was between Jai and Yeh Kahaan Aa Gaye Hum. Now the latest is that the latter has been finalised with Yashji, Aditya and Shah Rukh consenting to it. However, the fact remains that there is no truth to any of these. The film is still awaiting its title and everything else is sheer hearsay and noise", informs our well placed source.
It had earlier seemed that Yeh Kahaan Aa Gaye Hum was just an apt title and since the line came from a chartbuster track from Amitabh Bachchan-Rekha-Jaya Bhaduri starrer Silsila (which was directed by Yash Chopra), it made sense to rechristen as the title of Shah Rukh Khan's romantic musical with Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.
"Now the next thing that they will say is that the film too has resemblance to Silsila", says the source with tongue in cheek, "So basically from Daag, which was earlier said to be the source of the film for Yashji, rumour mongers have moved on to Silsila now. However, audience knows that Yashji always makes original films and his titles are quite unique as well. Whether it is Veer Zaara, Dil Toh Paagal Hai, Darr or Lamhe, each of them has been a first of its kind title. Now expect something similar for his new film as well."
The fact is further reinstated with the official spokesperson at YRF dismissing the speculations and further adding, "We have nothing to do with such 'announcements'. The title is not locked. Wait for an official announcement."
