    Default Billy Doctrove retires from umpiring

    The Elite Panel umpire, Billy Doctrove, has ended his 14-year international career after announcing retirement from umpiring. According to the confirmation from ICC, the 56-year-old umpire will not extend his contract that will expire at the end of this month.
    Doctrove was chosen for umpiring in the forthcoming ODI and Test series between Sri Lanka and Pakistan but withdraw due to a family bereavement. It would have been his last assignment as an elite panelist.
    Billy Doctrove made his ODI debut on 4 April 1998 in a match between between the West Indies and England in Kingstown, St Vincent. After two years in Antigua, he stood in his first Test that was played between the West Indies and Pakistan.
    He stood in 38 Tests, 112 ODIs and 17 T20Is, including the final of the ICC World Twenty20 2010 between England and Australia in Barbados.
