Sidhartha Mallya may become face for luxury brands like Swatch, Hugo Boss, Ralph LaurenSidhartha Mallya, son of flamboyant industrialist Vijay Mallya, plans to make his debut in the endorsement space as the face of some high-end fashion and luxury brands that may include Swatch, Hugo Boss and Ralph Lauren.
Talent and entertainment management firm Kwan, which will represent Mallya junior, has initiated talks with several top-end luxury brands.
"Initial talks have begun with watch maker Swatch group, Hugo Boss for super-premium clothing and Ralph Lauren," an official in knowledge of the developments said.
Besides endorsements, the Mallya-Kwan tieup also plans to bring in international luxury brands into the country, the official said. Mallya's endorsement fee, to begin with, would be in the range of 75 lakh to 1 crore annually, per brand. That's much less than top-notch Bollywood actors and cricketers who charge anywhere between 2-10 crore a year.
Kwan MD Anirban Blah said the objective of the association was to position Mallya as a high-end luxury icon. Sidhartha Mallya to enter brand endorsement market
UB Group chief Vijay Mallya's son, Sidhartha Mallya is set to step into the world of brand endorsement with celebrity management firm KWAN signing him up to become face of some luxury brands.
"KWAN will explore opportunities across entertainment, fashion, luxury and media spaces for Brand Sid," KWAN Managing Director Anirban Das Blah said.
KWAN is currently holding talks with several lifestyle brands.
"We are exploring various models like endorsement, and co-content creation. An official announcement is expected in the next two months," Blah added without providing more details.
According to Blah, junior Mallya represents India's next generation in the lifestyle and luxury space.
Sidhartha, who describes himself as a 'Business Boy' on the social networking platform Twitter, currently looks after the IPL team Royal Challenger Bangalore .
He joins a long list of celebrities managed by KWAN that includes Ranbir Kapoor, Nargis Fakhri, Freida Pinto, Genelia Deshmukh, Rana Daggubati, Soha Ali Khan, Kalki Koechlin, Mahesh Babu and Shruti Haasan.
