Aamir wants Satyameva Jayate to remind people of Mahabharata
In the early 90s, the only sound that echoed across the streets on a Sunday morning was that of Ramayana and later, another mythological show Mahabharat took it over. And, every Sunday at 11 am, the entire India was glued to their TV screens to catch a glimpse of their favourite characters. And, Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan wants to cash in on this time yet again after so many years. The actor has convinced Star TV to telecast his television debut Staymeva Jayate at the same slot.
However, the channel was earlier speculating to telecast the show at primetime on Saturday or Sunday, but the actor was adamant that he wanted the Mahabharat slot for his show.
Talking to a daily, a source said, “Considering that the chat show features real people from different walks of life and their unfiltered emotions, Aamir wants families to sit together and watch it. And that’s why the Mahabharata slot. He said he won’t do the show if he doesn’t get this slot.”...being a human...
