Fit again, Yuvraj to return to India on Monday
Ailing Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh is set to return home. According to sources Yuvraj will return to Delhi on Monday. Yuvraj who has undergone three sessions of chemotherapy after he was diagnosed with a rare sort of germ cell cancer. His condition is rare and is known as 'lung seminoma'.
According to sources close to the dashing batsman, who won the man of the match award last year after India's historic World Cup triumph, has been undergoing treatment in Boston's Cancer Institute in the United States of America.
Yuvraj is expected to hold a press conference on Wednesday where he is expected to divulge details of his treatment as well as his future plans regarding cricket.
Sources say that although Yuvraj is healed off his tumour completely he is still far from full recovery.
Yuvraj is still 'too weak to stand for long', we were told, but he is well on the road to recovery.
Yuvraj was discharged on March 18 from a hospital in the United States, where he had been undergoing chemotherapy for a malignant tumour between his lungs. Thousands of well-wishers, including US cycling great Lance Armstrong, have sent messages to the 30-year-old Yuvraj, who is known for his aggressive batting and disciplined spin bowling.
Yuvraj, has scored 8,051 runs in 274 one-dayers and 1,775 runs in 37 Tests since making his international debut in 2000.
