ANR's 'Vipranarayana' remake on the cards
This is the hot gossip that is making rounds in film nagar now. If the latest reports are to be believed the remake of 1950ís classical hit Vipranarayana directed by actress cum producer Bhanumatiís husband Rama Krishna is on cards. The original version featured Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Bhanumati in the lead roles.
'Vipra Narayana' has brought name and fame to its hero heroines Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Bhanumati. It is almost 60 years and still the fragrance of the film is fresh in the minds of elders.
Sri Balaji Real Media, which is currently producing Bhupati Pandianís directorial with Gopichand and Nayantara has bagged the remake rights of Vipranarayana. The film will be produced by Thandra Ramesh and Komara Venkatesh. Tandra Ramesh is planning to remake this film very soon under his home banner Jai Balaji Real Media. He said he would like to make it in Telugu and Hindi simultaneously.
Currently, story discussion and selecting of star cast is in progress. It is learnt, the producer has approached Nagarjuna for the lead role, but still didn't get any reply from him. For the Hindi version, either Deepika Padukone or Vidya Balan may be selected to play the female lead. The full details about the star cast and technical team will be announced shortly.
