Salman's 'Dabangg 2' creates Rs 50 crore record
"Dabangg 2" is undoubtedly most awaited film of the year and it is already making right sounds. The movie features Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, and Prakash Raj in the leads. Salman’s brother and producer of ‘Dabangg’, Arbaaz Khan is making his directorial debut with 'Dabangg 2'. The sequel will go on floors in March and the film will be a 2012 Christmas release.
The latest Bollywood reveals that the so called Chulbul Pandey, means Salman Khan’s much-awaited film 'Dabangg 2's satellite rights have been sold out for a record of Rs 48-50 crore by Star Network for 11 years.
The declaration was made to media by a trade source [close to the deal].
And according to a trade source closely associated with the deal, the music rights are also sold and have been acquired by T-Series for over Rs 10 crore! Though Hemal Jhaveri, senior vice-president at Star Gold confirmed the deal, he refused to share the details of the deal or the price.
The actor has recently arrived back from Cuba after completing of his upcoming film Ek Tha Tiger, and is most likely to start the shoot of Dabangg 2 in a week or so in Mumbai.
Meanwhile, the senior vide-president of Star Gold had refused to share any information of the deal and the price.
Earlier Hrithik Roshan’s Krissh and the Shahrukh Khan’s Don 2 were sold to Sony for Rs 37 crore each. Furthermore, Aamir Khan’s Talaash and Karan Johar’s Agneepath went for Rs 40 crore.
