South Africa take down New Zealand’s target of 174 in 16 overs

The sad thing that T20s have brought to cricket is that you no longer remember sixes a few hours after watching the game. At least that’s how it works for me. Before T20 came along, you’d remember the shots played by someone for years to come. In fact, your memory of certain players was built around a few shots they’d played. Years later, you’d be sitting around somewhere talking cricket and you’d still recall the shots Mal Loye played in Australia. If someone like Mal Loye played today, you’d struggle to remember his name a week later.
But after watching Richard Levi today, I really hope I don’t ever forget this. Small boundaries, pitch conditions be damned. Screw the unflattering stumpcam shots of excess flesh. Richard Levi ate NZ today.
