Dean Jones has been included in a five-man shortlist for Pakistanís coaching job
Former Australian batsman, Dean Jones, is very much interested in Pakistan cricket team’s coaching job as he has recently told that he applied for the vacant post. He said that if he was appointed as coach he would make full use of his all talent in Pakistan cricket.
Dean Jones is hopeful of being one of the five candidates shortlisted by the special committee appointed by the Pakistan Cricket Board for the coaching position.
He has not been officially confirmed by the PCB, but he is reported to have been included in the shortlist. Other two candidates on the shortlist of five candidates are former England all-rounder Dermot Reeve and Pakistan's former assistant coach and Test pacer, Aaqib Javed.
As Jones has no coaching experience, it will be very tough for him to get the job. His infamous incident involving South African batsman Hashim Amla would be another obstacle for getting the job.
If he was appointed as Pakistan’s national cricket team’s coach, his first challenge would be to establish a stable environment and a culture of tough love.
Dean Jones played 52 Tests and 164 ODIs where he scored respectively 3631 runs and 6068 runs at an average of 46.55 and 44.61....being a human...
