It pays to have connections. And singer Sunidhi Chauhan can certainly vouch for the fact.

The singer recently used her clout in the music industry to score the song Shake It Saiyan for David Dhawan's Rascals.

Reportedly, the song was supposed to be recorded by newcomer Shruti Pathak, who sang Fashion Ka Hai Yeh Jalwa.

Sunidhi Chauhan-A still from Shake it Saiyan

A source informed us that Sunidhi was recording a song with composers Vishal-Shekhar, who incidentally were also working on the music for Rascals at that time.

"When Sunidhi heard the track Shake It Saiyan, she fell in love with it and showed keen interest in lending her voice for the same.

And of course, given her knack of producing hit item numbers, Vishal-Shekhar complied with her request and got her on-board," explained the source. When contacted, Sunidhi denied the news.
