"My mother is my biggest fan and critic" - Randeep Hooda
After the much-discussed erotic and relatively-explicit love-making sequences in Rang Rasiya / Colors of Passion and Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster, Randeep Hooda has acquired quite a reputation for the steamy stuff on screen. But all efforts to carry Hooda's lover's image forward have been thwarted, thanks to Randeep's mother from Haryana who was worried about the sexually-aggressive image that her son's recent films were propagating.
Says a source, "The conservative but outspoken lady from Haryana saw her son's steamy stills from Rang Rasiya and then the erotic love-making scenes in Sahib Bibi Aur Gangster. She rang up her son from their home-town Rohtak and asked him point-blank why he was behaving on screen like his soul-sister from Rohtak, Mallika Sherawat."
Mortified with the comparison, the embarrassed son convinced his mother that he would no more be seen doing the naughty stuff with his leading ladies. In the process of keeping a promise to his concerned mother, Randeep had to request the producer of his new film Kushar Prasad Ka Bhoot to tone down the love-making content of the film.
Says a source, "Randeep has no inhibitions on screen. He has done unabashed love-making sequences in the past. But his mother's warning against love-making scenes has made Randeep far more cautious about losing his image."
Says Randeep, "My mother is my biggest fan and critic. She loves the fact that I give all of myself to my roles. But she also feels it's time I held some things back from the camera. Maybe she's right. I can make love to the camera. I don't have to make love on camera."
