I don't want my daughters to hide anything
Arjun Rampal is the proud father of two beautiful daughters Marya and Mahikaa. And he wants the world to know about that. A doting father that he is, Arjun has gone to the extent of inking the names of his daughters on his forearms. While it is Marya on the left forearm, it is Mahikaa on the right.

"I am a friend to my daughters", says Arjun who wants a relationship of friendship and trust to continue with his daughters, "I won't want my daughters to hide anything from me. It will be really nice if they maintain such a relationship with me forever."

"But again, you never know about tomorrow", he laughs.

He is doing quite well professionally as well. While back to back success of 'Om Shanti Om' and 'Rock On' boosted his career in a big way, 'The Last Lear' saw some critical acclaim coming his way.

'EMI' was an aberration though but it was an inconsequential release that didn't quite harm anyone associated with the film. Meanwhile, he hasn't signed anything new though his much delayed 'Fox' (starring Sunny Deol in the lead with Deepak Tijori at the helm of direction) is round the corner.

He gets particularly sentimental when reminded of his early days when his much important release 'Moksha' (one of his first after 'Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat' and 'Deewanapan') had bombed at the box office. Reason?

It's pirated DVDs were available at every nook and corner of the country three days before the official release.

It was particularly frustrating for him as an actor and it is this very essence of hard work followed by struggle due to reasons not under his own control that led to him giving such a fine performance in 'Rock On', a film and a character that he could relate to.

On a different note, when it comes to sheer looks, Arjun Rampal continues to don long hair even though his contemporaries are going for a shorter crop. However, when he is told about being called as the 'Tarzan' of the film industry (due to his long hair), he chooses to just laugh it all away.
