Tahaa, Yash Raj Films' new protégé, and his preparation for his next film
From the riotous to the righteous. Yash Raj Films and Adi Chopra have found a new blue-eyed boy to groom and promote after Ranveer Singh.
Apparently, the well-behaved soft-spoken newcomer Taaha Shah, who played the lead in Yash Raj's Luv Ka The End is being groomed by the company as their new blue-eyed boy.
Says a source, "Taaha is under a three-film contract with Yash Raj. He fits in exactly with the company's clean and pleasant profile. The problem is, Taaha has spent all his life out of India. He needs to get desi in his thinking, speech and body language."
For his next Yash Raj film, the youngster is being sent off on a Bharat Darshan to key North Indians towns as part of the preparation for the role of a small-town boy. Taaha will not only be visiting these cities, he would be staying in for a few weeks with a family in each of these cities to really get to know how they live.
Says the youngster, "Yes I'm off on a Bharat Darshan, if you want to call it that. I'm starting with the Northern part of India first. I'll be staying in with a family each in Lucknow, Jodhpur and Delhi to begin with. Maybe a town or two more in UP. The idea is to get to know how people live in North Indian towns from close quarters. I want to observe and absorb everything possible. I'll be staying in with a traditional joint family in each of the cities."
Arrangements have already been made in each city. And Taaha is all set to travel solo by trains and automobiles.
Explaining his need to acclimatize himself to North Indian life, Taaha says, "I was born and brought up in the UAE. I came to Mumbai to become an actor. I've stayed out of India for 21 years. I've been in Mumbai for a year and 8 months now. I need to get seriously desi for my next film."
