Raaz - TMC gains momentum, looks all set to be a winner
With less than a week to go before it's release, one film which is gaining steady momentum is 'Raaz - The Mystery Continues'.

Managing to create a buzz amongst the cine-goers ever since it's first teaser was unveiled close to two months back, this Mohit Suri directed film has taken a step by step approach in making it's presence felt, courtesy an array of good songs and music videos of the remix versions.

Well, after all the song and dance routine, the film's USP - the horror quotient - has finally been unveiled as 'Raaz - TMC' looks at gaining further tempo even as it arrives just a week after 'Chandni Chowk To China'. The theatrical promo is out and even though it lasts a mere 90 seconds, it manages to do the job.

'Dikh rahi hai mujhe aane waale kal ki tasveer, Tasveeron mein nazar aa raha hai mujhko uska kal'

This is what plays in the background as Emraan Hashmi not just introduces the two most important characters played by Kangna and himself but also the setting of the film.

As a mystery man, he makes a walk in the most secluded of locations even as the cool yet scary breeze in the background can be almost felt. While music is as haunting as one expected in a situation like this, it is Kangna's innocent yet scared look that catches your attention while Emraan reassures her by holding her in his arms.

'Koyi to hai jo likh raha hai uski dastaan, Koyi jo kheench raha hai uske haathon par, maut ki lakeer'

The scary moments begin soon after, though in a subtle manner, as Kangna is seen suspended in air sans any support with the quote 'Tum Ashuddh Ho, Sadh Chuke Ho' written in blood behind her on a wall.

With focus on the central protagonist i.e. Kangna in this segment of the promo, the promo manages to build on expectations of some scary/violent/gory moments ahead.

'Ek aisa anth, jo main bhi badal nahi sakta, Par main ladoonga, apni aakhri saans tak'

Things pace up soon after with thrills and chills and screams filling up the auditorium, what with Kangna desperately trying to get into a room, being surrounded by forces around her in a bathtub and paintings (made by Emraan Hashmi) reflecting everything that is happening to Kangna's character in real life.

An array of shots featuring a worried looking Adhyayan Suman, a battered Kangna, a mysterious man with scars on his face and a troubled looking Emraan follow with a screaming music in the background that sets the stage for 'Raaz - The Mystery Continue' to unleash.

Well, the promo has done the trick and if the track record of Mohit Suri, the man who has made quality products like 'Awarapan', 'Woh Lamhe', 'Kalyug' and 'Zeher' is anything to by, the young man who for the first time has dabbled into genre horror, indeed has a successful film in hand.

'Raaz - The Mystery Continues' releases all over on 23rd January.
