Herbal remedies are very much in demand these days. They not only help in quitting smoking but also assist in recapturing good health. Herbal remedies soothe jangled nerves, act as relaxants and improve circulation.

It is also a digestive and respiratory tonic and hence is considered as a good remedy to help . The mood enhancing quality of this herb is due to the presence of hypericin and hyperforin in its flowers. This effect is enhanced by the flavenoid glycosides present in the plant. This herb should not be used with drugs like warfarin, digoxin, drugs used to treat HIV, chemotherapy medications and antihistamines.
Oat Straw is one of the best nerve tonics and is popularly used to help quit smoking. It acts as a mild stimulator to the central nervous system. It contains avenine glycosides which increase the peripheral blood flow in the body. This is very helpful for people who are trying to withdraw from smoking addiction. It can be consumed as a fluid extract or as tea.
