Sachin scores 51st century despite Steyn spellMaster blaster Sachin Tendulkar scored his 51st century as India reached 316/6 in the second session of the third Test match against South Africa at Cape Town.
South African pace bowler Dale Steyn was at his best at the start of the session as he got two wickets within his first two overs of this session.
Cheteshwar Pujara was out without scoring a run after lunch while skipper MS Dhoni was out for a duck, thanks to an inch-perfect outswinger by Steyn, who was given the new ball. Meanwhile, Tendulkar got his 100 with a six off a Morne Morkelís short delivery.
India were at 247/6 when Harbhajan Singh arrived at the crease with a lot of expectations from him. He did stand up to them as he put up a 73 run (not out) partnership with Tendulkar for the seventh wicket, with Harbhajan contributing 34 runs which included an awesome six off Dale Steynís delivery in the South Africanís last over of the session. India were at 316/6 at tea.
