Natalie Portman as she announces she's engaged... and pregnantActress Natalie Portman has lots to celebrate, after announcing her engagement and pregnancy.
The Israeli-American star, 29, is expecting her first child with fiance, ballet choreographer Benjamin Millepied in Spring 2011.
The couple met in late 2009 while filming ballet drama The Black Swan, which Portman has received critical acclaim and a slew of award nominations for.

French-born Millepied, 32, a classically trained ballet dancer who studied at the School of American Ballet as a teenager, was hired by filmmakers to choreograph Portman's dances.
The Black Swan tells the story of a prima ballerina called Nina, who suffers from a series of self-destructive habits.

For the role, Portman lost 20 pounds from her already slim frame and trained for up to eight hours a day.
In a recent interview, Portman rather tellingly revealed she had started eating a lot more since the film wrapped.

She told Vogue magazine: 'I consume my own weight in hummus every day. I cook a lot, and I even do vegan baking.
'I like pleasure, I like joy. I'd never get to the point where I would starve or injure myself like [my character] Nina does.
'I'm the opposite - when I'm hungry, I eat, and I always make sure I'm eating something delicious.'
In an interview four years ago, Portman said she would ideally like to raise her children Jewish: 'A priority for me is definitely that I'd like to raise my kids Jewish, but the ultimate thing is to have someone who is a good person and who is a partner.'

But it appears Ms Portman may have changed her mind about marriage after previously saying she wasn't convinced by the institution.
She told InStyle magazine three years ago: 'I'm not convinced about marriage. Divorce is so easy, and that fact that gay people are not allowed to marry takes much of the meaning out of it. ... Committing yourself to one person is sacred.'
Prior to meeting Millepied, Portman dated folk singer Devendra Banhart and Mexican actor Gael Garcia Bernal.
