Bollywood over the years has witnessed several capricious relationships that have altered at the drop of a hat. Apparently miffed by the pot-shots taken at his son Ranbir on KJo%u2019s chat show, Rishi Kapoor asked Ayan to choose between his son and Karan for his new film. Torn between mentor Karan who gave him a break with 'Wake Up Sid' and his close buddy, Ayan is said to have finally chosen Ranbir over KJo and taken the movie to Studio 18.
Manoj Bajpai and Ram Gopal Varma
Manoj Bajpai once famously said in an interview that he thought RGV to be his friend, but all that he got was humiliation. It must have been a bitter fallout between the two to elicit such an intense response from the actor. Bajpai who became a household name after doing RGV’s cult film Satya, apparently even said that Ramu constantly humiliated him during the making of the film. Later, they patched up and are said to be on talking terms these days
Nikhil Advani and Karan Johar
It looks like Karan Johar has no paucity of friends-turned-foes. Nikhil Advani and KJo parted ways after completing their successful film together 'Kal Ho Naa Ho'. Their split was a big shock for everybody in the industry as both the men were known to share an excellent rapport with each other. However, over time the men mended their ways and got back together. In fact when Karan Johar was harbouring some problems before the release of 'My Name is Khan', Nikhil logged on to a micro-blogging to express his support for the film-maker.
Soham Shah and Karan Johar
Once again an erstwhile Karan Johar ally, Soham Shah parted from his mentor on a very bitter note. However, despite all the trouble brewing at their end, Soham has expressed that he will forever be indebted to KJo for his big break in 'Kaal'. It has been said that the main point in their much publicised fall-out was the fact that Soham decided to cast Sanjay Dutt in his next directorial project 'Luck'.
Farha Khan and Shah Rukh Khan
Once upon a time, they were best friends until a very large crack developed on the wall of friendship. In fact it is all news that the choreographer-turned director Farah has even poked fun at the Bollywood superstar in her latest film 'Tees Maar Khan'. It has been reported that the feud started when Farah approached SRK to play lead in 'Tees Maar Khan'. But because he did not respond, Farah went ahead and cast Akshay Kumar instead.
Subhash Ghai and Manisha Koirala
Subhash Ghai introduced Manisha Koirala (with absolutely no Bollywood connection) to Bollywood in his film 'Saudagar' back in 1991. Soon after, Manisha Koirala and her mother accused Ghai of making a pass at Manisha. However, later both the warring parties settled out of court and Manisha took back her words.
Mallika Sherawat and Mukesh Bhatt
It can be safely said that Mallika Sherawat's steamy scenes in Mukesh Bhatt's 'Murder' had a large hand in making it a success. However soon after that, the film-maker famously said he did not need Mallika for 'Murder 2'. Their professional relation went downhill after he complained that Mallika tried to hog on all the limelight around the movie. Mukesh also apparently added that Mallika's career in Bollywood was over.
Ekta Kapoor and Rajeev Khandelwal
Right after they parted ways, both Ekta and Rajeev kept their lips sealed about the matter. However things changed after Rajeev allegedly publicly claimed that he did not like Ekta’s television programming. Ekta hit back by saying that Rajeev was using her name to garner publicity and that he was resting on past laurels. Ekta has also vowed never to work with him again.
Kangna Ranaut and Mukesh Bhatt
It has been widely reported that Kangna asked the Bhatt camp to pay her Rs 60 lakh to act in 'Raaz: The Mystery Continues'. The Bhatts who are known to be a little tight-fisted subsequently relented. However the actor was pretty upset with the Bhatts for using her personal life (her relationship with Adhyayan Suman) as a publicity tool for the film. In fact Kangna also refused to take part in any of the promotional activities for the film.
Ekta Kapoor and Smriti Irani
After the successful run of 'Kyonki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' on Indian television, the sudden departure of Smriti Irani from the show set the tongues wagging. Apparently, Smriti Z Irani and Ekta Kapoor have been at loggerheads over the former's desire to produce shows for other channels, namely Viruddh on Sony. There was also speculation about Ekta Kapoor walking out of STAR Plus' Smriti Irani's co-produced show 'Thodi Si Zameen Thoda Sa Aasman'....being a human...
