Abhishek feels naked!
Actor Abhishek Bachchan whose film Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey has hit the theatres only today is not proud of himself. Bachchan Jr.
plays Surjya Sen, a school teacher applauded for the 1930 armoury raid in British India, in the film.
Based on the Chittagong Uprising, Abhishek says that he was ashamed when Ashutosh Gowariker brought him the script. Reason? He hadn't heard about freedom fighter Surjya Sen nor did he know much about the Chittagong Uprising.
This, he says, is because he was put in a European boarding school as a child, and learnt more about European history there than Indian history. However, Abhishek has decided to catch up on Indian history post this experience. The actor is recieving good feedback for his performance in this one, and feels proud and happy that he got an opportunity to do this movie.
So what was the one thing he enjoyed while shooting this period drama, and the one thing he didn't enjoy too much? Well, the good thing about Abhishek's character is that he wears a dhoti. That, Abhi found very comfortable. However, the one thing that he was uncomfortable with was shaving off his stubble, because he apparently feels naked without that little facial hair! A price he had to pay for some good cinema, eh?
