Pietersen warned by ECB to miss Modi meetingsKevin Pietersen has been warned by the English cricket board to not meet the suspended IPL chief Lalit Modi after the duo had met at the end of the second Test match between England and Pakistan.
Modi is the suspended IPL chairman and has charges of corruption and fraud against him, apart from being accused by the ECB head, Giles Clarke of creating a parallel cricket league in England. Pietersen, on the other hand, is a Royal Challengers Bangalore player and would have met up with Modi during his stints in the IPL.
However, the warning has not been taken kindly by Pietersen too kindly, as he is angry about being told whom he could speak and meet with.

This was after Pietersen announced he had no intentions of playing for Hampshire after the season because of the issues with commuting.
There is a possibility that Pietersen may be without a contract, once his contract with Hampshire expires and this is against the laws of the ECB, which stipulate that every cricketer needs to be associated with one or the other county.
