Amongst all the colleges, St. Stephenís, Delhi is the oldest and most sought after college for students who are willing to opt for science courses. There are various courses offered in the science stream including bachelorís course in mathematics, physics and chemistry along with programs at the masterís level as well. Famous literary personalities such as Salman Rushdie have been students of this prestigious institution only.
Loyola College, Chennai comes in at second position which was founded in 1927. The college offers bachelorís programs in subjects such as zoology, physics, chemistry, plant biology, computer application, statistics, computer science and visual communications. This college gives special emphasis on research activities facilitated by Entomology Research Institute and Loyola Institute of Frontier Energy (LIFE).
On third position comes Presidency College, Kolkata which is quite popular for its undergraduate courses. Last but not the least comes St. Xavierís, Ahmedabad occupying the tenth position. Like other colleges, there are integrated undergraduate courses in science stream offered by this college.
