Probable Squad of Brazil vs North Korea Match
Brazil takes on North Korea on 15 June at the Ellis Park Stadium, Johannesburg. It is a big match for both sides. North Korea has qualified for World Cup finals after 44 years and they are now looking to better their 1966 performance when they defeated Italy 1-0 to reach the quarter final in England.
Brazil, on the other hand, is the only team who did not miss any of the previous World Cup tournaments. With the opening match coming closer, pressure is mounting on the Samba Kings who disappointed their fans four years back in Germany.
Brazilian football fans are now eagerly waiting to know who coach Dunga is going to feature in the starting line up against North Korea. Goalkeeper Júlio César has recovered from his back injury picked up against Zimbabwe in a recent friendly game. However, it is still uncertain if Dunga would rush his first choice goalkeeper against the North Koreans.
Luisao is most likely to partner with Lucio at the heart of the defense with Maicon and Bastos being deployed on the right and left back positions respectively.
In the midfield, Dunga would most probably play two defensive midfielders in Felipe Melo and Gilberto Silva. There are many who may raise question against this decision, claiming that it would destroy Brazil’s traditional style of beautiful football. Gilberto Silva would have to cover for Lucio who has attacking intent.
Kaka would be handed the creative role in the midfield, while Robinho and Elano are most likely to be seen in the left and right wing positions respectively.
Robinho can play as a striker too, but the player’s preferred position is the left wing. Sevilla striker Luís Fabiano would play up front. So, Brazil’s attacking line up would feature Kaka, Robinho and Fabiano.
