Ajay Devgan apes Amitabh Bachchan
Director Milan Luthria has used Amitabh Bachchanís style in the 70s flicks as the reference point for Ajay Devganís costumes in his upcoming crime thriller Once Upon A Time In Mumbai.
In the movie, Devgan plays a character inspired from the notorious underworld don Haji Mastan from the 1970s.
Luthria first based Ajayís look in the film on Big Bís look from the movie Trishul in which the superstar wore polo necks, blazers and jackets. But then Luthria had a change of mind when he watched Big B in the cult movie Deewar.
The director was particularly taken by Mr. Bachchanís all-white ensemble in the scene when he attends his fatherís funeral.
Luthria decided to give the same all-white look to Ajayís character in Once Upon A TimeÖ. In the entire movie Devgan will be seen wearing only white clothes...being a human...
