Manchester City Offers Robinho Plus £10 million for Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Manchester City is now eyeing on Barcelona’s out-of-favor striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic in a bid to strengthen their forward line up for the next season. Reports available in the media suggest City is looking to make a part swap part cash deal to land the former Inter Milan star at the Eastlands.
Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini wants to reunite with the Swedish who played under Mancini at Inter Milan. City is now ready to offer their unsettled striker Robinho and £10 million to acquire the service of Ibrahimovic.
Brazilian striker Robinho spent the second half of the season on loan to Santos, but his loan stint at the Brazilian club would come to an end in August. It seems Manchester City now wants to offload the 26-year-old who joined the club in 2008 for £32.5 million making a British record for transfer fee.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic joined Barcelona last summer from Inter Milan in a part exchange deal involving Samuel Eto’o who moved to the Italian giants from Barcelona. However, the 28-year-old striker struggled to settle down at Barcelona. His performance was frustrating enough to prompt the Catalan side to sign David Villa from Valencia for the next season.
Villa’s arrival at Nou Camp means Ibrahimovic has gone further down in the pecking order and Barca officials could decide to offload the Sweden international this summer in their bid to arrange money for other big signings like Cesc Fabregas.
